Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT)
Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) is an inherited condition that affects the nerves in the body. It can cause muscle weakness, numbness, pain and problems with walking, balance and movement. It can affect people differently, and symptoms can become more difficult over time.
Around 1 in 2,500 people have CMT, meaning around 25,000 people in the UK are living with the condition. There is currently no cure for CMT.
CMTUK is the UK's only national charity dedicated to supporting people affected by CMT. They provide information, advice and support to people and families living with the condition, including support groups and activities for children and young people.
CMTUK also helps fund research into CMT, raises awareness and works to improve understanding of the condition among healthcare professionals.
By supporting CMTUK, Metta is helping people affected by CMT access the support, information and community they need, while also helping towards better treatments and, one day, a cure.

Spoons Charity (NICU)
Neonatal care is specialist care for newborn babies who are born prematurely, are very unwell, or need extra medical support after birth. Having a baby in neonatal care can be an incredibly difficult and stressful experience for the whole family.
Spoons is a Greater Manchester charity supporting families through neonatal care and beyond. They provide emotional and practical support to parents, babies, siblings and the wider family, helping them feel less alone during what can be an overwhelming time.
Spoons offers peer support, community groups, counselling and trauma therapy, as well as practical support such as welcome packs and resources for families. They also help parents feel more involved and confident in their baby's care and work alongside healthcare professionals to improve the experience for families.
By supporting Spoons, Metta is helping families access the support, understanding and community they need during neonatal care and after they return home.
